My innovation with potato to have something yummy yet low calorie and carbs
Potato: 1, sliced in chunks
Oil: 1 teaspoon
Yogurt: 2 tablespoons (I used regular but you can use low fat too)
Salt to taste
Coriander Leaves: 1/4 bunch
Mint Leaves: 6-8 leaves
Small Green Chilli: 1
German Green Chillies: 2, cut in thick rings
- Blend coriander leaves, mint leaves and small green chilli in a blender with 6 -7 tablespoons water. Make smooth green chutney – We don’t want it too thin.
In a frying pan, put oil, sliced potato, yogurt, salt and green chutney. Mix and put it on heat.
When it starts bubbling, add 3/4 cup water. Cover n cook potato on low heat till potato is cooked. Add slices German green chillies, increase flame, cover n cook till water is dried up n green chillies are a bit soft but still a little crunchy.
Enjoy it with brown bread or just as it is!

NO OIL ADDED TANDOORI CHICKEN MASALA
TANDOORI CHICKEN MASALA….
made WITH NO OIL….in a pressure cooker…. amazing spicy taste with NO ADDED OIL OR BUTTER….so if ur on a diet that does not mean u have to eat bland tasteless foood,….
ITS VERY EASY TO MAKE
4 skinless chicken legs and thighs, cut or full…its up to u
150 grams sour youghurt
juice of 1 lime
1 tablespoon tandoori masala ( i use RAJAH..it’s awesome) u can use whichever u get
2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste
1 tablespoon of green chilli paste
1/2 teaspoon each of red chilli powder, dried methi, garam masala and cinnamon powder
salt to taste
lots of fresh coriander leaves
make cuts in the chicken and marinate in this marinade overnight.
next day put the chicken in a PRESSURE COOKER…. and just pressure cook for about 6-8 whistles… depending on how big your chicken pieces are.
P.S. if u don’t have a pressure cooker u can cook it in the oven, but it wont have this lovely thick gravy to it. or u can cook it covered in a pan but u will need to add some water to it.

What You need:
85 g (12 tbsp) wheat flour
85 g (12 tbsp) white flour + extra for rolling
1/4 tsp salt
45 g (1 1/2 oz) butter (Theres 2 tbsp in 1 oz)
45 g (1 1/2 oz) mozzarella cheese
…1 large egg
2 tbsp milk
1 tsp paprika
1 tbsp sesame seeds
Preheat oven to 180C. Sift the flours and salt into a bowl, tipping in the bran left in the sieve. Rub the butter until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Stir in mozzarella cheese.
Whisk the egg and milk together. Reserve 1 tbsp of this mixture and stir the rest into the dry ingredients to make a firm dough. Knead on a lightly floured surface.
Sprinkle the paprika over the floured surface, then roll out the dough on it to form a square. It should be 20 cm in length and 8 cm in height. Trim out the extra edges. Brush the egg mixture from before and sprinkle sesame seeds. Cut the dough in half. (10 cm) and cut 1/2 inch sticks. Twist the sticks and place on a large baking sheet lined with baking parchment. Lightly press the ends of the sticks down so they do not untwist during baking. Bake for 15 mins or until lightly browned/crisp. Cool on baking sheet for a few mins.
These can be kept in airtight tin for upto 5 days.
